Veronica Powers
Veronica is a northern transplant that has lived in Georgia since elementary school. She now considers herself a southerner. She attended Fort Valley State University, one of the only AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) accredited four-year Veterinary Technology programs in Georgia.
Veronica has always had a giving personality and knew she wanted to help society. But she was unsure what direction she wanted to go. During her undergraduate studies, Veronica worked in various veterinary areas including aquaculture, large animals, and domestic animals. Eventually, she worked under the famous duo of Dr. Hodges and Dr. Ferguson, known as the Critter Fixer Country Vets.
It was their enthusiasm and professionalism that ignited Veronica’s passion for animal health and welfare in veterinary medicine. Veronica has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care and has recently transitioned to Internal Medicine. One of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine is learning new techniques and equipment to better serve her patients.
Currently, Veronica is pursuing a master's degree in data science and engineering. When she is not studying, you can find her trying new workouts, testing new recipes, and traveling.
