Laura is an ER/ICU licensed veterinary technician at Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty and Emergency. She graduated from San Juan College’s Veterinary Technology program with an A.A.S. August, 2024 and received her licensure January, 2025. Prior to entering the veterinary field, Laura worked in event marketing and lived in Philadelphia. She decided to make a career change after a rewarding volunteer experience with Atlanta Humane Society’s shelter medicine department. She worked at Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital while earning her degree and is excited to be part of AVSE’s ER/ICU team. 

Her veterinary interests include patient stabilization, anesthesia, and clinical pathology. She takes pride in her compassionate and calming approach towards patients. Laura’s hobbies outside of the clinic include long-distance running, bouldering, reading, spending time with her husband and walking her rambunctious hound, Deckard.
