Jillian Greenwood was born and raised in the small town of Canton, Mississippi. She developed her love for animals after she was gifted her first horse, Trouble. She was her spirit animal and she pioneered Jillian's journey into the veterinary medical field. Jillian's dream was to become a large animal veterinarian, which is why she pursued her Animal Dairy Science degree at Mississippi State University.

After Jillian pursued her first degree, she was introduced to the Veterinary Medical Technology program there as well. After graduation, she landed her first ER job as a CVT at MSU Animal Emergency & Referral Center in Flowood, MS. AERC is where she found her passion for small animal emergency medicine. In her pursuit of advancement in emergency medicine, Jillian relocated to Georgia and joined the AVSE team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, visiting restaurants, reading, and, more recently, hiking.
