Dr. Montes decided when she was seven years old that she would become a veterinarian. After obtaining her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina in 2008, she graduated from the University of Georgia with her veterinary degree in 2012. She then traveled to California for her rotating small animal internship at The Pet Specialists of Monterey (now BluePearl Pet Hospital), and stayed on for a surgical residency. Upon completion, she and her husband moved to Cincinnati, OH, where she practiced for 5 years. 

Now, Dr. Montes is back in Georgia and is excited to be around family. While she performs soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, she has a special place in her heart for wounds and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Montes enjoys chasing her two young children through various sports, as well as cooking, crafting, and hiking.
