Emily Rae Champion is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a focus on emergency and critical care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kennesaw State University, where she was deeply involved in genetics research before branching out to perform post-baccalaureate work in neuroscience at Georgia State University. 

Professionally, Emily currently is the training director at AVSE. Here, she hones her team’s technical skills while continuing to work in emergency and critical care, where she takes special interest in trauma cases with pulmonary complications. 

Her other interests include traveling to new countries, frequenting local markets, and fawning over every Yorkshire or Biewer Terrier with whom she crosses paths. She currently lives with her fiancé, Lee, and her Yorkshire Terrier, Lincoln in Atlanta, Georgia.
